On Friday the 30th of May until Sunday the 1st of June, 10 members of the North Canterbury Swim Club competed in the Neptune Swimming Club's Queens Birthday short course meet at the Moana Pool in Dunedin. Brigitte Mahan the head coach from Wai Swim who coached these swimmers commented that the swimmers really supported each other during the weekend and there was a lot of personal best times. The 10 swimmers achieved 77 personal best times from 108 events entered an excellent result. Following are the great results: James Buk, silver: 50m breaststroke Isaac Dann, gold: 50m breaststroke, bronze: 100m breaststroke James Kirkland, silver: 200m backstroke, bronze: 200m breaststroke Angus Syme, gold: 200m breaststroke, silver: 400m individual medley, 50m fly, bronze: 200m backstroke, 200m fly and 200m individual medley In total 11 medals, 2 gold, 4 silver and 5 bronze 5 North Canterbury Swim Club records were broken.
